Sooo

My bell choir was supposed to go on this fantastically awesome trip to Tennessee next summer to play at a national bell concert thing called Pinnacle. Since we are one of the best choirs in the country, we'd be playing alongside such as the Raleigh Ringers, i.e. Unfortunately, two of our ringers this year are studying abroad next semester. While we finally got some fill-ins, they will be coming in too late to learn all the pieces as well as we would need to know them for Pinnacle. We wouldn't be playing our best. So... our director decided we're not going. And I get this, but I'm really, really cut up about it. I had been so looking forward to it.. I got so excited every time I thought about it. Now...

Also we were supposed to play with the Syracuse Symphony Orchestra in December. But with the economy down, nobody is buying tickets, so we've been cancelled.

Great.

It doesn't seem like this should hit me so hard, but it really, really does.
